Hole #1 Par 4 345 Yards
One
of the toughest starting holes
in golf. Rolling terrain makes the approach shot difficult. A long drive
can make it a blind shot to the green.
Bear's
Tip: An iron off the tee is a wise
choice.
|
|
   |
|

|
|
Hole #2 Par 5 458 Yards
The
easiest hole on the course. The tee shot is very
important to set up
a possible eagle or birdie. Failure
to execute the tee shot makes this
one of the toughest holes in golf.
Bear's
Tip: Don't screw up the drive.

|
|
Hole #3 Par 3 165 Yards
No
bunkers, no water, no tree problems, level terrain;
but one of the toughest tee shots in golf. When the
wind blows, nobody hits the green.
Bear's
Tip: While playing in trowling
winds famed octogenarian golfer Gordy Stewart
had no problem finding the green. When asked
how he took the wind out of play, Gordy replied, "What
wind? I teed off with my putter, jackass."

|
Hole #4 Par 4 310 Yards
The
easiest par 4 on the course. Straight shot, level
terrain, with only
a few tree problems. When the north wind is blowing even the little guys
can hit like John Daly.
Bear's
Tip: After a big drive, don't get
greedy. Just aim for the middle of the green.
With bunkers in front and out of bounds in back,
only a fool would go for the pin.

Hole #5 Par 4 355 Yards
One
of the most beautiful views in
golf. This is the signature hole at Spring Hill G. C. A seventy foot
drop from the hilltop teebox to the fairway below. Downwind brings possible
birdie, a shot into the wind brings possible bogie.
Bear's
Tip: When playing the hole downwind,
leave the driver in the bag and let the 3-wood
fly.

|
|
Hole #6 Par 4 340 Yards
The
toughest hole at Spring Hill.
All you need to do for par is make
a perfect drive, place the perfect approach and two putt one of the
most severely sloping greens around.
Bear's
Tip: Keep
your approach shot below the hole. Below the hole.
Below the hole. What part of below the hole don't
you understand?
|
|
   |
|

|
|
Hole #7 Par 4 355 Yards
The
only hole that favors a fade off
the tee. The fairway slopes left to
right and is downhill all the way to
the green. Trees can be a problem along the right side.
Bear's
Tip: A slice is not a fade.
If you execute your tee shot your approach will be from a downhill lie.
Guard against going over the
green as trouble lurks behind.

|

|

|
|
Hole #8 Par 3 144 Yards
Surrounded
by woods, two bunkers guard the front. Swirling winds
make for guesswork on club selection.
Bear's
Tip: Short is better than long,
but throw caution to the wind, pick
a club and go for it. What's another double bogie on the card anyway?
|
|
  |
|

|
|
Hole #9 Par 5 429 Yards
One
of the easiest finishing holes
in golf. Think of it as a long par 4.
End with a birdie and make your day, because birdies will be hard to
find when we add water to the hole.
Bear's
Tip: On your drive let the
big dog eat but, avoid the John Bush bush because you can't birdie from
there.
